CCI AdShel's Singapore Bus Shelter Network
When CCI Adshel, the world's largest operator of transit street furniture, won the tender to build and operate Singapore's bus shelter network, Vertigo was approached to manufacture and install the required units. This ambitious project involved almost three thousand individual shelters and lasted for over two years. It was the largest of its kind anywhere in the world and the fact that Vertigo was appointed as the sole manufacturing contractor is testament to the faith Adshel have in the company.
Over the project, more than 350,000 component parts were manufactured and shipped to Singapore. There, the components were quality checked and each shelter 'test assembled' prior to site delivery. On-site installations were carried out by independently operating teams that were equipped to handle all site work from the construction through to electrical connections. The efficient operating processes meant that each team was able to install between two and three shelters per day throughout the entire duration of the project.
